OURWORK
Christchurch Anglican Church at CastlereaghWe took on the prodigious job of the full restoration of the Christchurch Anglican Church at Castlereagh which hadn’t been painted for more than 15 years. We started on the ceiling which was made of pressed metal first. We stripped of all peeling paint and repaired of all rusted and porous surfaces before giving it a new coat of paint.
Next we stripped all the peeling paint off the walls, prepared them by first sanding then re-plastered them to a smooth finish and finally gave them a coat of paint. All doors, frames and timber-work throughout internally along with all exits were sanded back to an original smooth timber surface and painted in a high gloss enamel for protection.
Lastly the altar floor was completely stripped back with an acid wash then prepared and sealed for the finish coat of high gloss, anti-slip paving paint to brighten up the area and showcase the stained glass window that captured the north-west sun throughout most of the day.
